Year  4 - Hampton Court trip 

On Wednesday, Year 4 walked in the footsteps of Henry VIII  during a visit to Hampton Court Palace.  We were in awe of his lavish lifestyle, with intricate tapestries, paintings and carvings, he even had gold ceilings! Some of us really didn’t like the carved eavesdroppers in the Great Hall though —they’d definitely make sure that we didn’t gossip about what was happening in court!  Master James, a Yeoman Guard, helped us to understand that being a Lord wasn’t always the best job to have, and maybe a ‘gong-scraper’ would be less trouble—although Lainey and Beril enjoyed their role as Ladies!  We had a great day out in the sunshine learning all about the Tudors. Thank you Year 4 for being amazing as usual.  TT & SH
