Boundaries and Wickets Galore!

Last week, I had the pleasure of taking a group of Year 5 and 6 children to a cricket tournament at Banstead Cricket Club. The event, organised by the Surrey County Cricket Club, saw six schools competing against one another. After three wins in a row, with a whole host of sixes and fours, we found ourselves in the final against Banstead Junior school. It was a fantastic match which came down to the final over. In spite of the two wickets taken by our bowler (in a five ball over), we narrowly lost by three runs. It was a wonderful afternoon's cricket and the boys showed excellent sportsmanship which was commented on by staff from other schools.
