Sports Premium

We are committed as a school to ensuring that we do all that we can to create memorable and meaningful sporting opportunities for all of our children.  As well as wanting our children to see the importance that physical activity has in their lives in growing up fit and healthy; in line with our school mission statement of ‘enjoy and achieve’, we hope that the children will enjoy the sports on offer at Tadworth and also feel a sense of achievement; be it through competitive sports or from meeting a personal goal.

Our aim is for Children from across the school to participate in a whole range of sports through class PE; additional clubs run after school and competitive events with other schools, both here at Tadworth and at schools in the local area.  We participated in the annual District Sports competition, the swimming gala, a variety of local competitions, including girls’ football.  We continue to achieve well, and are proud that our children participate with enthusiasm great sportsman ship.  Their behaviour is often praised by both parents and other schools.

The additional funding we received from the government for PE and school sport this year has been put to good use. We have used the money to improve a number of areas including staff training, equipment for clubs and PE lessons, additional lessons for non-swimmers in Year 4, as well as activities and resources for playtimes and lunchtimes to ensure our children are active throughout the day.  

This has been an exciting opportunity to improve PE and sport across the whole school.  The positive impact that this spending has had on the children can be seen in Sports Premium Impact Year 7 2019-20.
